Union des Maisons de Vins du Rhône

UMVR stands for Union des Maisons de Vins du Rhône, a professional association representing the Wine Négociants of the Rhône Valley.  

The President of the Union is Samuel Montgermont; members include some of the Rhône Valley’s largest, most prestigious wine houses.

Turnover is over €1 billion, 33% of which comes from export.

90% of members are SMEs,
60% with organic certification;
99% are active on the export market;

UMVR members sell 327 million bottles of Rhône Valley AOP/IGP wine, making up 45% of total Rhône Valley AOC wine sales.
Of the remainder, 34% is sold directly by producers and 19% by négociants in other parts of France and worldwide.
