"La Combe" is an old term used in the language of Oc meaning the crossing of paths in the surrounding valleys. Gigondas was in fact an important meeting point for merchants.
Situated at the foot of the Dentelles de Montmirail, the Gigondas vineyard is the most important in the region.
benefits from an exceptional terroir. The hillside parcels are on a clayey-limestone soil. The climate is relatively hot and dry, favouring the expression of the Grenache and Syrah grape varieties. The altitude allows to keep freshness and finesse in these wines with great ageing potential.
